Some of my most valued memories include friends and family gathered around a table over food with stories and laughter. I come from a small family. We could have gotten away with letting holidays and celebrations slip by, but that’s a sure-fire way to avoid memorable moments, so we didn’t.
My favourite part about planning and designing celebrations is seeing them all come together with guests completely immersed in the experience.
People often describe me as calm, friendly and extremely detail oriented. I have a healthy (my diagnosis) obsession with colours, trends, and balance. If you catch me with a serious concentration face, don’t let it fool you — I have been told I smile too much. My career is recognized as one of the top five most stressful jobs, but it never feels that way to me. I’m just built for it.
The little things in life I love most are: rainy weather, hosting at home, green tea lattes, red velvet cake from Baked Expectations, auto racing (doing, not watching), California road trips, the song Fjögur píanó by Sigur Ros, going for hikes, This Is Us, visiting grocery stores in my travels, gardening, and perusing the greenhouse.
